Think through the options to help you decide which
topic you would like to research and write on. If I were trying to decide – I think
the easiest thing to do would be to just read the Wikipedia (shhhhh) entry on
it to help you make your decision

Once you’ve decided, then you should spend the period
looking for articles and books (remember you need at least one print resource).
Try to determine what you believe are the most ESSENTIAL resources for your
particular topic. Example: an autobiography.
